Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how information submitted through legalvault.ie is handled. It covers the public website and demonstration or trial enquiries. A live solicitor-practice deployment requires its own agreed privacy and data-processing arrangements.

1. Information we may receive

When you request a demonstration or trial, we may receive your name, firm name, work email address, telephone number, practice size and the message you choose to provide. Basic technical information may also be processed for security, spam prevention and website operation.

2. Why information is used

Information may be used to respond to your enquiry, arrange a demonstration or trial, administer the website, protect the service from abuse, maintain operational records and improve Legal Vault.

3. Legal basis

Depending on the interaction, processing may be necessary to respond to steps you ask us to take before entering a contract, to pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, to comply with legal obligations, or where appropriate on the basis of consent.

4. Demonstration data

The controlled demo is not intended for live client or case data. Use representative information. Demo environments may be reset or sanitised as part of their lifecycle.

5. Live practice deployments

Where Legal Vault is deployed for a solicitor practice, responsibility for client data and the roles of the practice, Legal Vault operator and relevant service providers must be defined in the deployment documentation, privacy information and any required data-processing agreement.

6. Service providers

Website and product operation may involve hosting, email delivery, payment processing, security or other technical service providers. Where Stripe is used, payment credentials are handled through Stripe rather than being stored by Legal Vault.

7. Retention

Website enquiry information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, demonstration, commercial follow-up, security and record-keeping purposes, subject to any legal obligations.

8. Your rights

Data-protection law may give you rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, depending on the circumstances. You may also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission.
