Payment & Cancellation Policy

legalvault.ie is the product website for Legal Vault. It does not currently sell legal advice directly to the public. Payment-enabled legal services, where offered, are configured for an individual solicitor practice or demonstrated in test mode.

1. Demonstration payments

Payments shown on demo.legalvault.ie are test or simulated transactions unless clearly stated otherwise. No live funds are transferred in the controlled demonstration environment.

2. Live solicitor-practice payments

In a live deployment, the solicitor practice determines which services are payment-enabled, the fee, VAT treatment, scope, refund rules and engagement process. Secure payment processing may be handled by Stripe.

3. Payment is not acceptance

Unless a solicitor practice expressly states otherwise in its own engagement terms, payment does not by itself mean the practice has accepted an instruction. Acceptance may remain subject to conflicts checks, identity and anti-money-laundering requirements, capacity, jurisdiction, scope and engagement procedures.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund rights for a live legal service are determined by the solicitor practice offering that service, applicable consumer law and the practice’s own engagement and costs terms. Legal Vault provides workflow and payment infrastructure. It does not independently decide whether a legal-service refund is due.

5. Legal Vault implementation or subscription charges

Commercial terms for implementation, hosting, support, training or subscription services are agreed separately with the solicitor practice and are not governed by the client-facing legal-service payment terms above.
